This performance report was pulled together by Walter Haeussermann in the late 1960’s, who was one of the German rocket scientists who went to the US after WWII where he settled and went on to have a spectacularly successful career at NASA.  He was a key member of Werner von Braun’s team that made the 1969 moon landing a reality.  Nothing to do with audio, but a great read for the techies.  Just take a look at the section on the control computer they used to guide the beast . . .
