Hifisonix Audio Design and Engineering
Are you are looking for an experienced solid state audio designer?
I am UK based but can undertake design projects on a contract basis for customers anywhere in the world. I specialize in power amplifiers, full feature pre-amplifiers (including low noise RIAA MM/MC phono amps), integrated amplifiers, headphone amplifiers and DAC’s etc. Although analog is my main focus, if a project requires a microcontroller, I use the ARM mbed platform and develop software in C(++). I use LTspice extensively in the development process to ensure a ‘right first time’ result, minimizing TTM and development costs.
Work undertaken can range from specification, paper designs, prototyping, PCB layout, testing and characterization right through to working with your industrialization team to deliver fully engineered products ready for volume production within your home country or in the Far East.
I can design for high volume, cost critical applications, or for performance targeting niche segments where products will potentially demand higher prices.
If you are interested, you can contact me at bonsai(at)hifisonix.com
Any projects and/or communication undertaken in the strictest confidence.
Hello Brett,
Thanks for your enquiry. Unfortunately at this time I am fully committed to other work (commercial products) at the minute so cannot offer a build service for the DIY amplifiers. In your case, I would suggest you look around for a good 2nd hand class A amp to drive your ESL’s. If I understand the Quad speaker specs correctly, the peak volatage they can handle is about 42V which would correspond to a 100W amplifier.
Kind Regards
Hello, I’m interested in getting a Class A amp that I can use W: My just rebuilt pair of Quad 57s. I’m not a DIY guy as I can barely put a lightbulb in. Would like to speak with you in regards to you building me a finished amp? Cheers, Brett. USA
